Just a quick post...

The show is OVER!!! OVER I tell you... DONE... no more set... no more costumes... no more props... GONE!! (Ya think I'm glad?!)

Don't get me wrong... I had a blast playing Jason's mom and being on stage with he and Jody and Cliff. But we have a new rule to inform you of...

- You either get the old age make-up or the "poofy bun"... not both... so choose wisely!!

That, my friends, is why we are glad the show is over with!! No more hour and a half to two hours doing hair and make-up!! Those of you that know me well or have been around me on a daily basis know that I don't fuss lots with hair and make-up... I'm a pretty simple girl when it come to that. Plus, I just can't do my own hair... I'm sort of surprised the "poofy bun" worked out as well as it did with me doing it myself.

Anywhoo... I'm off to make apple-raisin salad for the cast party tonight... y'all have fun... I know I will be...

Things I have discovered this week...

1. I am not cute running through the office in three inch heels. It might make it a tad bit better if I'd had a knee length pencil skirt on, but I had slacks on... so, no, I decided it was not cute. Of course, me running isn't cute anyway...

2. I forgot what this one was supposed to be??...

3. Sometimes people admit to things they don't really want to... by either protesting too much or by just blurting it out without turning on their inner censor...

4. Sometimes things just don't really matter as much as you think they should...

You scored as Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan. You are an evangelical in the Wesleyan tradition. You believe that God's grace enables you to choose to believe in him, even though you yourself are totally depraved. The gift of the Holy Spirit gives you assurance of your salvation, and he also enables you to live the life of obedience to which God has called us. You are influenced heavly by John Wesley and the Methodists.

What's your theological worldview?

Hmm... so I'm really Methodist?? And here I thought all this time I was church of Christ?? Or maybe Baptist if anything else??

Well, I guess it's about time I updated my blog... seeing as how it's been two weeks!!

First, a prayer request and then lighter fair. Say a prayer for a friend of mine... that's really all I can say. Well, we'll just say that they're going to UAB to see a specialist.

Second, another prayer request... I have another friend who may be about to be offered another job. That's all I can say about that one, too.

I hate to do that, but I'll fill you in more once I'm allowed to by "the above entitled parties"...

I was paid quite possibly the best complement last night... at least I think I took what he was saying correctly. Someone came up to me at church last night and said they thought I had done a really good job Tuesday night... I play Mrs. Higgins in My Fair Lady. He said, too, that his measure of how good someone does can be measured by whether or not he forgets who the person really is. I took this to mean that of me... what do you think? I try to never take complements lightly or let them affect me too much. I usually am sort of embarrassed by them... it's the bit of shyness Stephen never managed to get rid of!! ;) But I am ever so grateful for them, no matter what. My biggest goal when I'm on stage is to tell you the story and for you to enjoy your time and be entertained in some way.

Welp, I have an appointment to get to... so I'll go now...

el Dios le bendice siempre...

I know... you're all avoiding telling me how you feel about Pryor because you know how much I hate politics... well, I really do want to know. I'm really very curious as to how others are perceiving him. I have an "inside" take on him through a former classmate and want to see if you see in him what we've discussed about him. (Trust me, I'll fill you in once I get some response on it...)

We open tonight... yeah, rah. My Fair Lady, June 2005, Faulkner University Dinner Theatre... (there that ought to get some hits?!... teehee...) I'm really enjoying playing Mrs. Higgins and I think things are going to be fine!! I may post something tomorrow about how it went... we'll see. I must say that my favorite scene is turning out to be the scene at my character's house... which surprises me since I thought it was going to be the bugger to do.

BTW, something I put on my hair last night is trying to strip it... I'm thinking it's the alcohol or whatever in the FreezeIt hairspray I'm using. The reason I know it's stripping it is because when I was shampooing it this morning, the suds were a light brown!! I'm not thrilled... I'd prefer NOT to have to color it again if possible...
