I love reading what other people write... especially when it's their thoughts about life or current events or religious beliefs. That's sort of why I started my own blog... 'cause I like to read people's thoughts. The other half is that I like to make my own comments and theories based on those comments and theories. That's how I formulate my own schema on things... by taking in many different pieces. Oh, and in case you never took Ed. Psych., schema is your "world" as far as what you know and believe... sort of like a globe with everything your know or believe written on it or put on it. I guess even inside it, too?? That'd be sort of your "subconscious knowledge or thoughts"?? I don't know, but you get my point anyway. I also just like to write. I love formulating my thoughts and putting them down in some sort of finalized way. So in light of that... and the fact that I am off work ALL next week... I have two writing projects for myself...

ONE... A thesis... or two... based on at least one, maybe more, productions that I have been in with the dinner theatre. I'll do one on A Wonderful Life, probably one on Our Town, probably one on Farndale... Christmas Carol, and maybe a general one on directing. (Yes, I've directed three shows, no, you didn't miss anything... the performers were great, I'm not "all that" of a director!!)

TWO... a refresher course on customer service... a Power Point presentation with some of the finer points that I learned while working at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Vaughn had us go through a videotape training while I was there.

Oooohh... THREE... I just thought of... a lesson plan utilizing A Practical Handbook for the Actor. I LOVE this book. Mr. Foster started us on it when I was in high school and was, I think, going to sort of teach from it, but we never got back to it really. But I did read it and love what it has to say. I highly recommend it if you are interested in acting in any aspect. It has some nice thoughts and recommendations.

That's about one project a day... and I'll have custody of the department's laptop so I'll be able to set up shop in the den and write away!!

Anywhoo... to ANYONE who reads this... drop me a line with your thoughts... I really am curious about what you think as far as what I say and my thoughts...

Okay... I know... it's about time I wrote another post on the old blog.

Well, first off, Merry Christmas!! My intention is to post again before then, but "life happens" so who knows.

Second... I'm running across SOO many friends online recently. There's Dusti from Jeff Davis HS who has three preschoolers... and Mat (yes, with one "T"!! Trust me!!) who's married and living in France for a year (check out his blog for details)... where I found posts from other friends from college (Mullins, Jamison, Josh). Plus there's the ones I found a while back... Stacy, Alicia, Ryan, Nancy, Michael.

Third... I have several friends with family members who are seriously sick. Say a prayer for them and their families that they'll have comfort and know how to deal with it all in the best way possible. Especially pray for on friend of mine... he's young and his family's been through a lot in the past few years.

Fourth... I think I'm going insane?! Recently, I've been thinking more and more about going back to school and getting my master's degree. I don't know... there are several options in my life right now and just as many as far as schooling goes. I really want to end up with my master's at some point and teach college. I've decided that's my "ideal". I can't necessarily make up my mind as to whether or not I want to go for an MFA in Acting (or Acting/Directing?) OR if I want to go for a MA in Speech Communication when I do go back. So it doesn't make it any easier... Any comments or thoughts??

Life is good though... Ben and Elizabeth had their baby (Ansem Isaac)... Andy and Tiffany had their baby... Andrew and Lisa are getting married tomorrow night... people seem to be enjoying the show...I have friends...

Anywhoo... the office just went crazy hectic with some last minute graduation/ grade stuff, so I'm gonna run...
